Teaching New York City’s youth how to innovate and create the next big thing

As a Teaching Artist for Leap’s Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs program, I’ve been able to guide students in solving problems in their communities using UX concepts. Over the past two years, I’ve been implementing my formal UX Design training in teaching my students how to create and iterate on their own prototypes.

In 2020, I shifted my teaching to remote learning. Being forced into a virtual setting came with its challenges, but we used these problems as opportunities. My students created new solutions and prototypes to help bring community closer and teaching easier during an especially difficult time.
